A home built by love, for those who needed one most
Just a short walk from the center of Medjugorje lies a place few pilgrims forget once they visit: Mother’s Village (Majčino Selo). Founded in the 1990s by the beloved Fr. Slavko Barbarić, this community was created as a response to the trauma of war — a sanctuary for orphans, wounded youth, and broken families.
But it became more than that.
It became a living reflection of the Gospel.

Mother’s Village is a response to Our Lady’s call:
“Live love. Be love.”
